Elijah Haven, a five-star quarterback prospect from Dunham High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is garnering attention from several elite college football programs, including Alabama, Florida, Auburn, and Georgia.

Haven shared his excitement about the recruitment process, stating, “The main schools that have been pushing the most have been Alabama, Florida, Auburn and Georgia. It’s been great getting to know their programs and staff.” The 2027 athlete has visited Alabama multiple times during the 2025 season, where he forged a connection with the coaching staff. Following the departure of former quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan to Michigan State, Haven is considering making a return trip to Tuscaloosa as the Tide transitions Bryan Ellis into the quarterbacks coach position.

“We are still trying to sort out dates in terms of visits,” Haven mentioned regarding his future plans. He remains enthusiastic about Alabama, despite the changes within the coaching staff, affirming, “Bama is still a great program that my family and I are interested in, but it is hard to see coach Sheridan leave.”

During the 2025 season, Haven demonstrated his remarkable skills on the field, throwing for an impressive 3,931 yards and 62 touchdowns, along with 794 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. His performance was pivotal in leading Dunham to secure a state championship, marking the school’s first title since 2004. At 6-foot-4, Haven possesses both the arm strength and athleticism necessary to excel at the quarterback position, showcasing an ability to execute all types of throws effectively.

As the recruitment landscape evolves, Alabama currently holds a commitment from another 2027 quarterback, Trent Seaborn. However, the coaching staff has expressed intentions to recruit a second signal-caller, which keeps the door open for Haven as he continues to explore his options among the top programs in the nation.
