The first-ever music video for George Harrison’s beloved song “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)” has been unveiled, with the creative vision coming from none other than Finn Wolfhard, known for his role in Stranger Things. This new stop-motion animated clip showcases the picturesque gardens of Friar Park, the Victorian mansion Harrison acquired in 1970, and is considered a tribute to his passion for gardening.
Wolfhard expressed his excitement, stating, “To work with the Harrison family and bring this video to life with a team of incredible young Canadian artists has been a great honor. It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for this opportunity. George Harrison has and will continue to be a huge inspiration to me, and his work will live on forever.”
Dhani Harrison, George’s son and an executive producer of the video, praised Finn Wolfhard, calling him one of the most talented individuals of his generation. He remarked that his father would have loved the project and hopes it resonates with a new audience, bringing the song’s heartfelt message to life for a fresh generation.
“Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)” originally debuted as the lead single from Harrison’s 1973 album, Living in the Material World, which went on to achieve great success, reaching the top of the charts. This release serves as a lovely reminder of Harrison’s enduring legacy and the universal quest for peace, which continues to inspire artists and fans alike.
