A group of young representatives from Fiji has officially conveyed their traditional i-Tatau to the Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Jese Saukuru, marking a meaningful milestone in their involvement with the 2026 Youth Exchange Programme in India. This ceremony unfolded yesterday at the Valelevu Youth Training Centre located in Suva.
During the event, Minister Saukuru acknowledged the consistent support from the Government of India towards youth development initiatives, highlighting the vital role of international exchange programs in broadening the experiences of young individuals and cultivating global partnerships.
The seven-member delegation is scheduled to depart for India today, where they will participate in a variety of activities including the Republic Day Camp in Delhi. Their itinerary features opportunities to interact with high-ranking dignitaries, attend important national events, and visit significant historical and cultural landmarks.
Minister Saukuru urged the young delegates to fully embrace this experience, particularly in building robust relationships with peers from various countries.
