In 2025, artists who released music in the past year are invited to submit their work for consideration. Gumatua emphasized that the revival of the FIPRA MUSIC award aligns with a strategic plan reflecting renewal and growth, underscoring the commitment to recognizing composers and music creators in Fiji.
A notable addition this year is a brand-new genre category, which aims to broaden the scope of the awards and highlight diverse musical styles. FIPRA Director Laisa Vulakoro also hinted at several surprises in store for participating artists, making the upcoming ceremony even more exciting.
The deadline for applications is February 27th, with the awards ceremony scheduled for May 9th, setting the stage for a celebration of creativity and artistry in Fiji’s music industry.
