A New Year holiday in Suva provided a significant boost for Makereta Dredregasa, a mother of four from Beqa, thanks to the Government’s $200 Back-to-School assistance payout. This much-needed financial support allowed Dredregasa to purchase essential school supplies for her children as the new academic year approaches.

Dredregasa expressed her gratitude for the assistance, highlighting how it alleviated the financial pressures her family faces during this transitional period. With three of her children preparing to head back to school, the ability to buy necessary stationery and other items has made a substantial difference.

In an effort to ensure that all eligible families benefit from this program, the Ministry is encouraging parents and guardians who have not yet received their payments to reach out to the Help Desk at 3220551, 3314477, or 9980079.

This initiative showcases the government’s commitment to supporting families and easing the back-to-school burden, providing a positive impact as the new academic year begins.
