A delegation of Fijian youth has formally presented their traditional i-Tatau to the Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Jese Saukuru, as part of their participation in the 2026 Youth Exchange Programme in India. This significant event took place yesterday at the Valelevu Youth Training Centre in Suva.
During the ceremony, Minister Saukuru expressed gratitude to the Government of India for its ongoing support of youth development initiatives. He emphasized the importance of international exchange programs in expanding young people’s horizons and fostering global partnerships.
The seven-member delegation is set to fly to India today, where they will engage in various activities, including the Republic Day Camp in Delhi. They will also have opportunities to interact with senior dignitaries, attend national events, and explore important historical and cultural sites.
Minister Saukuru encouraged the young delegates to make the most of their experience by building strong networks with participants from other countries. He wished them a successful and enriching journey as they proudly represent Fiji in this prestigious program.
