President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu hosted a reception at State House last night to welcome back the soldiers of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) 1st Battalion, who have recently completed their service with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI). This deployment underscores Fiji’s ongoing dedication to international peacekeeping, spotlighting the nation’s commitment to fostering global peace and stability.

Among the attendees were former Prime Minister and former RFMF Commander Voreqe Bainimarama, Cabinet members, representatives from the Diplomatic Corps, civil society leaders, and the senior leadership of the RFMF.
