These figures span the first quarter of the year, specifically covering August, September, and October.
During a recent press conference, Commissioner Tudravu acknowledged the encouraging trend but cautioned that the persistent prevalence of domestic-related incidents, such as assaults, indecent assaults, and sexual offenses, remains a serious concern. “While the reduction in cases is promising, it does not guarantee that women and children are definitively safer,” he stated, stressing that domestic-related incidents continue to occur frequently.
The police have taken proactive steps to combat these challenges by working closely with community leaders and social agencies. Their initiatives aim to monitor repeat offenders, promote early reporting, and enhance protections for victims.
