The Fiji Meteorological Service has reported that Tropical Depression TD07F is positioned well to the west of Fiji and is not expected to evolve into a tropical cyclone. As of 6 a.m. today, the depression was situated at approximately 21.8°S, 173.6°E, around 580 kilometers west-southwest of Kadavu, and 800 kilometers west of Ono-i-Lau.

The system is currently moving southward at a rapid pace of about 38 kilometers per hour. Meteorologists noted that TD07F is entering a less favorable environment for development, which should hinder any intensification.

Despite its weakening status, the tropical depression continues to generate rainbands and strong northwesterly winds, which are affecting various parts of Fiji. Areas such as the Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, western Viti Levu, western Vanua Levu, and surrounding regions are experiencing these weather conditions. Notably, a peak wind gust of 70 kilometers per hour was recorded in Nadi last night.

The Fiji Meteorological Service remains vigilant in monitoring the situation and will provide additional updates as necessary. This proactive approach aims to keep residents informed and safe as they navigate the weather patterns associated with TD07F.
