FaZe Clan experienced notable upheaval on Christmas Day as several of its members announced their departure from the organization. On December 25, Stable Ronaldo, JasonTheWeen, Silky, Lacy, and Adapt took to Twitter to share the news of their exit, leaving fans and the gaming community in shock.

This significant exodus was further exacerbated by remarks made by former FaZe member PlaqueBoyMax during a live stream. Max, who left the organization in August, claimed that current members lacked autonomy and were treated like “puppets.” He shared a clip of former FaZe CEO, Banks, who distanced himself from the situation, asserting that he had no involvement in the members’ departure. Banks had stepped down from his role in July amid controversy surrounding a failed cryptocurrency venture.

In response to the situation, Banks expressed his frustration on X, stating, “I have nothing to do with what’s going at FaZe Clan right now. I left 4 months ago and have moved on with my life. Unfortunate to see, wishing everyone involved the best.” He further added that he felt he was unfairly scapegoated for the current crisis and that he was, in reality, “millions of dollars in debt” due to his association with FaZe.

The former CEO did not hold back when addressing Max’s claims about the departed members. He described their relationships with each other and the community as “incredibly fake” and criticized them for their apparent ingratitude. Banks lamented the situation, stating, “I wish this never happened. I wish that I never did any of this.”

As the FaZe organization navigates through this tumultuous period, the reasons behind the sudden departures remain unclear. However, it was noted that Max had previously spoken highly of his time with FaZe, describing his tenure as one of the best decisions of his life.

This moment marks a pivotal shift for FaZe Clan, which has been a significant player in the gaming community since its establishment in 2010. The departures raise questions about the organization’s future direction and its ability to retain talent amid internal conflicts. While challenges lie ahead, there remains a collective hope that the group can find resolution and continue to thrive in the competitive landscape of gaming and content creation.
