The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua triumphed with a nail-biting 25-20 victory over the Hurricanes at Churchill Park in Lautoka, marking a significant turnaround after two previous losses this season. Battling the pressure from earlier performances, the team showcased their resilience amidst rainy conditions, delivering an electrifying match that thrilled the local crowd.

The game began with the Hurricanes displaying early strength, but the Drua quickly struck back as Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula netted a penalty in the fifth minute to put the home team in the lead. The Hurricanes responded shortly after, with Finea Fineanganofo crossing the try-line in the 11th minute, followed by a successful conversion from their captain, Jordie Barrett.

Determined not to falter, the Drua found their rhythm again when Armstrong-Ravula converted another penalty kick, bringing life back into the match. The home side surged ahead when Motikiai Murray scored a try in the 29th minute, complemented by another precise kick from Armstrong-Ravula.
