Athens’ beloved Southern rock band, Drive-By Truckers, is set to return for their highly anticipated annual residency. Formed in 1996, the group has forged a strong fanbase through their extensive discography, which includes 14 studio albums, and an impressive array of live performances. The band’s distinct sound combines gritty storytelling with bold sociopolitical insights, making them a standout act in the music scene.

The four-night residency, held at the iconic 40 Watt Club from February 11 to 14, promises an eclectic mix of guest performers each night. Kicking off the event on February 11, alt-country and slacker rock artist MJ Lenderman will take the stage, followed by Athens folk-rocker T. Hardy Morris on February 12. The third night will highlight emerging talent from the Nuçi’s Space Camp Amped youth music program alongside local favorites The Lanes, who are marking the release of a new album. The residency will culminate in a performance by Philadelphia’s alt-country ensemble Florry, who last delighted audiences at the AthFest in 2025.

Tickets for the event range from $55 to $60, with doors opening at 7 p.m. and shows starting at 8 p.m. This homecoming promises to be a celebration of music and community, embodying the spirit of Athens and its vibrant artistic culture.
