Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green recently expressed his disappointment with former teammate Jordan Poole, who now plays for the New Orleans Pelicans, regarding Poole’s reaction during a scuffle between Mark Williams and Jose Alvarado on December 27.

During a podcast episode, Green criticized Poole for what he deemed a lack of support when tensions flared on the court. He emphasized that players should not stand back in awe but rather step in to support their teammates during such altercations. “If I’m in a fight and my teammate is standing behind and doing this (exaggerated facial expression), come on man. We can’t be doing that,” Green remarked. He shared advice he received from former teammate David West: when a situation escalates, it is crucial to be proactive rather than passive, even if it doesn’t necessarily mean engaging in a physical confrontation.

The relationship between Green and Poole has been strained since Green punched Poole during practice, a pivotal incident that has undoubtedly affected team dynamics and Poole’s standing with the Warriors.

This incident highlights the importance of camaraderie and unity among teammates, especially in competitive sports where emotions can run high. Green’s strong stance serves as a reminder of the values of teamwork and solidarity, even when faced with difficult situations on the court.
