Upon boarding, guests are greeted with a warm welcome that sets the tone for an extraordinary experience. A striking statue of T’Challa, the beloved character from Black Panther, marks the entrance, signifying the ship’s deep-rooted connection to Black culture. An insightful panel featuring prominent Black voices involved in The Destiny’s development highlighted Disney’s commitment to inclusion and diversity. Yolanda Cade, Vice President of Communications for Disney Signature Experiences, emphasized this initiative, stating, “black voices are being told like never before,” reflecting the company’s responses to the desires of Black consumers.
The ship excels in catering to adult guests, with carefully designed spaces such as a serene spa and gourmet restaurants. A standout feature is Senses Spa, where guests can luxuriate in treatments like revitalizing facials. The adult-only pool area on the 13th floor provides a tranquil atmosphere, further enhanced by the presence of Cove Cafe, offering coffee and relaxation.
The bars aboard The Destiny are noteworthy for their themes inspired by classic Disney films. Highlights include The Rose, themed after Beauty and the Beast, and The Haunted Mansion bar, which offers an immersive ghostly experience.
