The annual March for Life is set to take place in the District of Columbia on Friday, January 23, 2026. Attendees and motorists should be aware of extensive parking restrictions and street closures throughout the area to accommodate the event.

Emergency No Parking will be enforced from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on several key streets, including Constitution Avenue from 14th Street to 3rd Street, NW, and Pennsylvania Avenue from 7th Street to 3rd Street, NW, among others. Motorists are advised to heed the signage in these areas, as vehicles parked in violation of these restrictions will be ticketed and towed.

In addition to the no parking zones, multiple streets will be closed to vehicle traffic from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. These closures include Constitution Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue, and 12th Street, among others, restricting access to critical areas around the event. For public safety, a few other streets may also be closed to traffic from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

As the event approaches, attendees and residents should prepare for increased pedestrian traffic which may affect travel times in the vicinity. The Metropolitan Police Department and the D.C. Department of Transportation encourage motorists to consider alternative routes and to drive with caution.

For up-to-date traffic information, the public can check twitter.com/DCPoliceTraffic. As always, street closures and parking restrictions are subject to change based on conditions on the day of the event, so staying informed will be key for those in the area.
