US forward Crystal Dunn, 33, has announced her retirement from professional football after an illustrious career spanning over a decade at the pinnacle of women’s sport. Dunn enjoyed significant success, highlighted by her role in the US team that clinched the World Cup title in 2019 after a memorable semi-final victory against England.

In addition to her World Cup triumph, Dunn is also an Olympic champion, having made her mark at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Throughout her international career, she earned 160 caps for the United States, finding the back of the net 25 times.

Reflecting on her journey, Dunn expressed a deep sense of fulfillment saying, “I leave the game with a sense of peace and deep fulfilment for all that I’ve achieved.” Her career began when she was selected first overall by Washington Spirit in the 2014 college draft.
