The Tailevu Rugby Football Union (TRFU) has embarked on an exciting partnership with Standard Concrete Industries, announcing a substantial $10,000 sponsorship designed to enhance the Union’s ambitious Business Plan for 2025–2030. This partnership aims to strengthen grassroots rugby development, encourage career pathways, and promote gender inclusivity within the sport.
Joseph Rodan, the president of the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby Football Union, conveyed his sincere appreciation for the support, highlighting its pivotal importance in fostering the future of rugby in Tailevu. “On behalf of the Tailevu Rugby Football Union, I wish to sincerely acknowledge Standard Concrete Industries for this generous sponsorship. This partnership is not just about financial support; it symbolizes our commitment to nurturing young talents and building strong career pathways,” Rodan stated. He stressed that this collaboration aspires to create champions on and off the field for both Tailevu and Fiji.
In alignment with this partnership, the men’s senior team will officially be known as the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby men’s senior team, while the Under 20 team will share the same name, marking a deepened alliance. Additionally, the women’s senior team will proudly compete as the Humes Tailevu Rugby women’s senior team, emphasizing a strong commitment to inclusivity and representation in rugby.
Rodan reaffirmed the Union’s steadfast dedication to growth and success under the banner of the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby Football Union. “Together with Standard Concrete and Humes, the union is committed to building stronger players, stronger teams, and a stronger Tailevu,” he added.
