Charlie Charters has been granted official permission to travel abroad for work following a recent decision by Suva Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne. The court approved a modification of Charters’ bail conditions, enabling him to travel to Australia.
Defence lawyer Seforan Fatiaki argued that Charters needs to participate in a tournament, which justified the request for travel at this time. This development occurs amidst serious allegations from the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption, which has charged Charters with two counts of aiding and abetting under the Crimes Act 2009.
As the situation unfolds, additional information and updates on Charters’ case will be shared during our 6pm news bulletin, ensuring the public remains informed about the developments and their broader implications.
