The right-shot defenseman stands at 6 feet tall and weighs 190 pounds. He was initially drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the fourth round (118th overall) of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft and has since spent time in the American Hockey League, featuring in 35 games with one goal and six points.
The fourth-round pick that Carolina is sending to San Jose originally belonged to the Chicago Blackhawks, having been obtained by the Hurricanes during the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
