Bula FC’s head coach Stephane Auvary is encouraging fans and supporters to remain patient as the team gears up for its debut in the OFC Pro League next month. As Fiji’s first professional football club entering the regional league, Auvary highlights the importance of managing expectations, stating that immediate success should not be anticipated.

Building a competitive squad will be a gradual process, especially with several well-established and experienced teams competing in the tournament, he noted. Auvary remarked, “It’s a work in progress. They’ll have to be patient because we cannot just create a team from scratch and be expected to shine two or three months later. But we are going to do our best – the players and the staff – and we’re going to try to represent Fiji as best as we can.”

The focus for the club this season is on development and gaining valuable experience, rather than simply pursuing immediate victories. Auvary has called on supporters to rally behind the team through both the highs and lows of competition. He expressed a long-term vision for the club, aiming to achieve full competitiveness within three years, which offers a hopeful outlook for fans eager to witness the growth of football in Fiji.
