Bula FC has proudly announced the signing of midfielder Asivorosi Rabo, marking him as the club’s 14th player added to the squad as they prepare for the inaugural OFC Pro League, set to begin in January 2026.
At just 20 years of age, Rabo has emerged as one of Fiji’s most exciting young football talents. His football journey is intricately connected to his family’s legacy in the sport; he started playing at the age of eight in New Zealand, where he was coached by his father, celebrated former national player Pita Rabo.
Returning to Fiji in 2013, Rabo continued to excel, making a name for himself at Krishna Vedic Primary School before progressing through the Rewa youth system. He showcased his skills while competing for Bhawani Dayal Arya College across various youth categories, including U15, U17, and U19 teams.
In 2023, Rabo made his senior debut with Rewa, where he continued to develop his craft until recently. While carrying a well-known family name, Rabo has worked hard to build his own identity as a dedicated player.
His journey has not been without hurdles; he faced a significant injury that sidelined him for months, testing his resilience. However, with strong support from his family and a determination he credits to “God’s second chance,” Rabo made a powerful comeback, embracing new challenges as he joins Bula FC.
Rabo views this new chapter at Bula FC as a crucial moment in his career. “Getting this chance to play for Bula FC could be a turning point in my career. Playing professionally has been a dream of mine, and now the opportunity is real. I’m grateful to the coach, the management, and everyone who believes in me. This year, we’re ready to achieve something special,” he shared.
With his commitment and optimism, Rabo offers a promising outlook for his future at Bula FC, and fans are eager to see how he brings his aspirations to life on the pitch. His story serves as an inspiration, showcasing the power of determination and the potential for young athletes to carve their path in the world of football.
