Browns Stay With Dillon Gabriel for Week 11 Showdown vs. Ravens

The Cleveland Browns have decided to maintain their choice of quarterback for the upcoming Week 11 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, sticking with rookie Dillon Gabriel. This announcement came from head coach Kevin Stefanski during a press conference following the team’s 27-20 defeat to the New York Jets.

Stefanski expressed confidence in Gabriel, indicating that the team is committed to letting the young quarterback gain valuable experience. “We’re gonna stick with Dillon. Obviously, this is a young player; you’re always trying to get one game better and those types of things. We have to play better as an offense, we have to coach better, all of the above,” he stated.

In the recent loss, Gabriel completed 17 of 32 passes for 167 yards and two touchdown throws, though he faced considerable pressure, being sacked six times during the game. While there were notable missed opportunities and incomplete passes attributed to Gabriel, Stefanski’s decision suggests that he believes in Gabriel’s potential and is focused on fostering his development rather than considering alternatives, such as Shedeur Sanders.

The Browns are looking to regroup and enhance their offensive performance as they prepare for the Ravens, and maintaining consistency at the quarterback position may be crucial as they aim to turn their season around.
