Suns forward Dillon Brooks and Hornets forward Brandon Miller have been honored as the Players of the Week for the Western and Eastern Conference, respectively, according to recent league announcements. This recognition highlights their standout performances during the week of January 26 to February 1.

Brooks played a pivotal role in leading the Suns to a commendable 3-1 record, boasting an impressive average of 28.8 points per game with a remarkable 54.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc. His contributions did not stop there, as he also averaged 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists, helping secure noteworthy victories over the Pistons and Cavaliers by double-digit margins.

On the other hand, Miller shined for the Hornets, averaging 26.3 points in just under 30 minutes of playing time, contributing to his team’s perfect 4-0 week, which was capped off with a decisive win against San Antonio. The third-year forward’s efficiency was evident as he shot 50 percent from three-point territory and successfully converted all 25 of his free throw attempts, earning him his first Player of the Week award.

Both players made history by being the first from their respective teams to receive this honor this season. Brooks notably triumphed over several prominent players for the Western Conference accolade, including stars like Luka Doncic, Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Kawhi Leonard. Meanwhile, Miller was recognized alongside other talented nominees from the East, such as Jarrett Allen, OG Anunoby, Josh Hart, Cade Cunningham, Joel Embiid, and Aaron Nesmith.

This achievement not only marks a significant milestone in their careers but also brings optimism for fans of both franchises as they continue to make their mark in the league. With their impressive performances, Brooks and Miller are setting a high standard for the remainder of the season and inspiring their teammates to elevate their play.
