Cameron Brink, the Los Angeles Sparks forward, recently expressed her willingness to pose for Playboy, but with one important condition—her fiancé, Ben Felter, must approve of the decision. This revelation came during a casual conversation in an airport where Brink praised fellow WNBA star Kysre Gondrezick for her audacious decision to feature in the iconic magazine.
When asked if she would consider doing a similar shoot, Brink stated, “Yeah, maybe! We’ll see,” indicating her openness to the idea, contingent on her fiancé’s support.
Gondrezick made history as the first Black professional woman’s basketball player to become a Playboy Playmate, after being selected as the No. 4 pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft. Her daring pictorial saw her pose nude in a vintage-themed setting, which has since set a precedent for other athletes in the sport. Following her revealing shoot, Gondrezick was named “Playboy’s 2025 Miss June,” garnering significant attention and admiration.
Brink, who shares a close friendship with Gondrezick, praised her friend’s photos, declaring, “She looked absolutely beautiful, so I support absolutely anything that she does.” This endorsement reflects a growing trend of athletes using their platforms to embrace body positivity and artistic expression.
Moreover, Brink, who has prior modeling experience, revealed on her podcast “Straight to Cam” that she has posed nude for a previous shoot, emphasizing her comfort with artistic expression and her appreciation for the craftsmanship involved in such projects. “There was only gays and girls in the room, I think,” she recalled. “It wasn’t an issue. I like the artistry of it all. I like shooting stuff, like, I think it’s fun.”
Overall, Brink’s potential venture into modeling for Playboy reflects not only her personal choices but also highlights the evolving dialogue surrounding female athletes’ autonomy in both sports and modeling realms.
