The Milwaukee Brewers have finalized their coaching staff for the 2026 season, bringing notable changes as they strategically prepare for the upcoming challenges. With the departure of Rickie Weeks as associate manager, several returning coaches will take on new roles, and the team welcomes four newcomers to the staff.
Jason Lane, now in his 11th season with the team, will transition from third base coach to offense and strategy coordinator, while Jim Henderson shifts from assistant pitching coach to pitching coordinator. Eric Theisen, who served as hitting coach last season, is elevated to lead hitting coach. Additionally, Matt Erickson, in his third season, will now coach third base after spending two seasons as infield coach, while continuing his role as lead infield instructor.
Chris Hook returns for his eighth season as pitching coach, with bullpen coach Charlie Greene and field coordinator Néstor Corredor also remaining in their established positions.
The Brewers have added fresh faces to the coaching lineup, including Spencer Allen as first base coach, taking over from Julio Borbón, who will focus on player development and scouting. Allen, 48, brings experience from his time as the head coach at Northwestern University and previously worked as the director of player development for the Brewers.
Juan Sandoval, 45, enters his fifth season with the organization, making the move from assistant minor-league pitching coordinator, while Guillermo Hernandez and Daniel Vogelbach join the staff as assistant hitting coaches. Vogelbach, a familiar name to Brewers fans, played with the team during the 2020 and 2021 seasons and is best remembered for hitting a dramatic walk-off grand slam against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Hernandez arrives at the Brewers after a season as hitting coach for Class AA Knoxville in the Chicago Cubs system and boasts a coaching background that includes a stint with the Toronto Blue Jays.
Al LeBoeuf, the previous lead hitting coach, will take on a role akin to Borbón’s, and Daniel de Mondesert will transition from assistant coach to game preparation specialist, also serving as a Spanish language interpreter. Christian Correa returns as bullpen coach alongside newcomer Ty Duvall.
