Bills Elevate Gabe Davis, Keleki Latu for Texans Showdown

The Buffalo Bills have made a notable roster move by promoting veteran wide receiver Gabe Davis from the practice squad ahead of their Thursday night clash with the Houston Texans. Additionally, rookie tight end Keleki Latu has also been elevated from the practice squad, marking the second elevation for both players this season.

Gabe Davis, 26, made his 2025 debut last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he recorded three receptions for 40 yards. During that game, he received four targets from quarterback Josh Allen while participating in 23 offensive snaps. Despite not having as many snaps as most of his receiving counterparts, he showcased his value by successfully converting a pivotal fourth-down attempt on their first connection.

With second-year wide receiver Keon Coleman expected to be a healthy scratch for the second consecutive week, Davis is positioned to take an active role in tonight’s game. Though Davis started last week, Tyrell Shavers outperformed him, leading the team in snaps, targets, receptions, yards, and touchdowns. Fans will be eager to see if Davis can leverage his opportunity against a formidable Houston defense that currently ranks first in the league.

This elevation not only highlights the Bills’ strategic adjustments but also showcases their depth in the receiving corps, as they look to challenge one of the league’s top defenses. As the season progresses, the Bills’ ability to adapt and utilize their roster effectively will be vital in their quest for success.
