Bryce Alexander Black, 33, from New South Wales, lost his life in the incident, while his girlfriend, Samantha Baillie, also 33, sustained critical injuries.
The accident occurred early Sunday morning in North Kuta, where Black, a father from the Central Coast, tragically passed away at the scene. A close friend, Savannah-Leigh Homer, revealed that Baillie’s injuries prevent her from returning home to inform her children about the situation in person. Homer has traveled to Bali to support her friend and has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to cover medical expenses, as Baillie reportedly does not have travel insurance.
The response to the fundraiser has been overwhelming, with donations quickly surpassing the initial goal of $50,000 within just 24 hours. Homer expressed her gratitude, stating, “Every donation, share, message and act of support has helped lift an unimaginable weight during one of the hardest moments of their lives,” highlighting the community’s compassion during this challenging time.
