Shalen Lal, the former captain of Ba, has been appointed as the new head coach of the Ba Football Association, with the goal of leading the team into the 2026 season. This change is part of a significant reorganization of the club’s technical leadership.

Ba FA president Praneel Dayal expressed his optimism regarding these changes, describing them as a strategic effort to improve the club’s football operations both on and off the field. Lal’s appointment is intended to inject new energy into the team’s competitive spirit and on-field performance.

In a related announcement, Rodeck Singh has resigned from his position as Director of Football for health reasons. The club acknowledged Singh’s contributions to the team and wished him a speedy recovery. His responsibilities will be taken over by Ravinesh Kumar, who brings extensive experience to oversee the football operations from grassroots levels all the way up to the senior team.

The revamped technical staff will also see Yogendra Dutt serve as Technical Advisor, while Malakai Kainihewe has been appointed as Assistant Coach. Additionally, Iosefo Vosaboto, a former goalkeeper for Ba, will take on the role of Goalkeeper Coach, and Sanil Prakash has been named Team Manager.

Dayal emphasized the association’s resolve to restore Ba’s proud football legacy and called for supporters to unite behind the Men in Black as they prepare for the upcoming season. The team is set to begin preparations for the 2026 season in the next few weeks under Lal’s leadership, and this strategic overhaul brings a sense of hope for Ba FC’s future, as they aim to enhance their presence in the football community.
