PHOENIX — A wave of good fortune has swept across Arizona, with several lottery players scoring impressive payouts just in time for the holiday season. Among the winners, one lucky individual nabbed a stunning $250,000 from a Triple Twist ticket purchased at a QuikTrip located at Southern and 19th avenues in Phoenix.

Triple Twist is a popular daily game by the Arizona Lottery, where players pick six numbers from a pool of 42. Tickets are sold for $2, and jackpots begin at $200,000, presenting players with odds of roughly 1 in 5.2 million for a winning ticket.

In addition to the top winner, two Powerball players also celebrated significant wins after Saturday’s drawings. Their tickets successfully matched four of the five winning numbers — 1, 28, 31, 57, and 58 — along with the red Powerball number of 16. Initially set to receive $50,000, both players opted for the Power Play option, which doubled their payouts to $100,000 each. These tickets were bought at a Circle K in Tucson and a Fry’s store at Ellsworth and Riggs roads in Queen Creek.

As excitement builds, the next Powerball drawing boasts an estimated jackpot of $1.1 billion, with the odds of winning the grand prize standing at a staggering 1 in over 292 million.

This past weekend saw more winners, as three additional individuals took home $50,000 each from Powerball tickets purchased at various locations: an Albertsons in Tucson, a Maverik in Lake Havasu, and a Safeway in Mesa, near McKellips and Power roads. Additionally, another fortunate player secured a $40,000 prize from a Mega Millions ticket bought from Basha’s in Payson.

With the holiday season approaching, these lottery wins provide a boost to many Arizona residents, showcasing the joy and excitement that lottery games can bring.
