Embark Studios has unveiled extensive details about the upcoming Arc Raiders update, titled Shrouded Sky, and excitement among players is at an all-time high. This massive patch, set to go live on February 24, 2026, will introduce crucial features such as new weather conditions, additional enemies, and various gameplay enhancements.
One of the standout elements of the Shrouded Sky update is the inclusion of storm weather conditions, marking a significant change in the gaming environment. Players will encounter hurricanes throughout various maps including Blue Gate, Buried City, Spaceport, and Dam Battlegrounds. These storms will alter visibility and gameplay dynamics, prompting players to adjust tactics as they combat not only enemies but also the severe elements of nature.
To coincide with these changes, a new Seasonal Player Project called The Weather Monitoring System will be rolled out. Gamers will have to brave the storms to gather items needed to build this monitoring system while investigating the causes of these catastrophic weather events. Completing the five-stage project will reward participants with gameplay items, 250 Raider Tokens, and the Anemometer Backpack Charm.
In addition, two new ARC enemies will be introduced: the Firefly, equipped with a deadly flamethrower, and the Comet, a larger enemy variant that threatens players with relentless pursuits and explosive attacks.
A new Surgeon Raider Deck will also make its debut in the update, providing players unrestricted access to new customization options, Raider Tokens, and cosmetic items. With an array of unlockable rewards, including new outfits and a beard customization feature, players will have enhanced ways to express their individuality within the game.
Furthermore, the second Arc Raiders Expedition will commence on February 25 and run until March 1, giving players ample opportunity to earn permanent bonuses such as skill points and stash space. Notably, the threshold for maximum rewards has been adjusted for this Expedition, making it more attainable for players to reap the benefits of their efforts.
Players can expect the Shrouded Sky update to launch globally at 2 AM PT / 5 AM ET, with specific launch times varying by region. With numerous positive enhancements and new challenges on the horizon, the Arc Raiders community is eagerly anticipating the enriching gameplay experience that this update will deliver.
