The highly anticipated second expedition for Arc Raiders is set to begin soon, with players able to sign up on February 25 and the official departure scheduled for March 1. In response to player feedback from the initial expedition, Embark Studios has made several significant adjustments, particularly regarding the required Stash value to maximize rewards.
Initially, players were expected to gather a Stash value of 5 million Coins to reach the maximum rewards tier. However, after considering player concerns, the studio has decided to lower this requirement to 3 million Coins, equating to 600,000 Coins per Skill Point. This reduction aims to enhance player experience, particularly for those who found the earlier demands challenging.
Embark Studios articulated their commitment to player satisfaction, stating, “We’ve heard your feedback about the required Stash value for maximum rewards being too high.” As part of this update, players will still earn 5 Skill Points upon achieving the new 3 million Stash value, making it easier for a broader range of players to participate.
In addition, returning players will benefit from a new Skill Point catch-up system, designed specifically for those who could not collect enough Coins during the first expedition. Under this system, players will need to gather 300,000 Stash value per missing Skill Point from the previous expedition, with the first collected Coins contributing to the current expedition’s Skill Point total.
Embark also revealed that the second expedition will introduce permanent rewards, including a new Scrappy outfit and an upgraded Patchwork outfit with added customizations. Furthermore, returning players will see a 5% experience increase, totaling a 10% boost, while Scrappy materials will see an increase from 6% to 12%, along with a repair value increase to 70%.
Looking ahead, players can also anticipate news of a third expedition, signaling ongoing support and new opportunities for participants. With these adjustments, Embark Studios aims to create a more inclusive and engaging environment for both returning and new players as they prepare to embark on their next adventure.
