Shipping times for Apple’s Studio Display have recently extended into late February and early March for various configurations, signaling a potential new version on the way, according to reports by News.Az and 9to5mac.com.
In his latest Power On newsletter, industry analyst Mark Gurman highlighted that the entry-level Studio Display is experiencing significant shortages both online and in retail outlets, with replenishment expected only as late as early spring. This scarcity aligns with previous reports that suggested a refreshed version of the Studio Display is planned for release in the first half of 2026.
The current supply constraints have amplified speculation regarding an imminent update. Last month, an unannounced Apple external display made an appearance in regulatory documents, intensifying anticipation for an upcoming refresh.
Rumors from December indicated that the new Studio Display may feature three notable upgrades: an A19 chip, ProMotion technology capable of a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR support.
In addition to the anticipated Studio Display, Apple is also expected to reveal updated versions of the MacBook Pro, featuring the new M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. Gurman noted that this MacBook Pro update is also expected soon, as highlighted in recent news coverage.
These developments reflect Apple’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its product lineup, indicating an exciting future for the company’s display and computer technologies.
