Apenisa Saukuru, a former national representative and esteemed coach, has been appointed as the Interim Director of Beach Volleyball by the Fiji Volleyball Federation. His extensive background in the sport encompasses roles as a player, coach, and administrator at the national level, highlighting his significant contribution to volleyball in Fiji.
Alongside Saukuru’s appointment, Karalaini Delai has also stepped into the position of general secretary of the Fiji Volleyball Federation. Delai’s ongoing commitment to the organization is rooted in her previous service on various boards as secretary. Josefati Cati retains his role as director of legal affairs, while Emori Bakewa continues as the director of training and development. The federation also welcomes Vunisei Mateiwai as the athletes’ representative, whose perspective as a national representative and police officer adds depth to the leadership team.
As the Fiji Volleyball Federation prepares for the Vulaca Championship, its first tournament of the year set for the 30th and 31st of this month, excitement is building.
