A new physical event featuring the popular game Animal Crossing: New Horizons is set to take place at Sea Life Nagoya Aquarium in Japan from late January to early May 2026. This exciting event will showcase over 30 varieties of fish and marine life that have appeared in the game, complemented by informational panels featuring beloved Animal Crossing characters.

While entry to the exhibition is covered by a standard admission ticket, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in various additional activities for an extra fee. For instance, a ¥300 (~$1.90) quiz sheet will challenge guests to identify a marine creature that isn’t part of the aquarium’s exhibits, rewarding successful participants with a themed Animal Crossing sticker. Additionally, a popular workshop for crafting shell wreaths will be available for ¥1,500 (~$9.50), allowing visitors to engage creatively with the theme.

Merchandise enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy, as the aquarium plans to sell Animal Crossing-themed items, including clear files priced at ¥300 (~$1.90) and T-shirts for ¥4,200 (~$26.60).

Moreover, visitors who have the Nintendo Store mobile app installed can utilize the GPS Check-In feature throughout the event to receive an exclusive wallpaper image. As a special treat for players of Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, Sea Life Nagoya Aquarium is providing codes that unlock uniform items worn by the aquarium staff. The codes include the Sea Life Cap, Sea Life Jacket, and Sea Life Polo Shirt, along with a creator code for further engagement within the game.

This initiative not only highlights the enchanting world of Animal Crossing but also offers fun and educational experiences that bridge gaming and marine life, fostering a deeper appreciation for both. The event at Sea Life Nagoya Aquarium will run from January 30 to May 11, 2026, promising an engaging experience for fans of all ages.
