Anees Bazmee Teases Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Celebrates Anniversary

On November 1, renowned director Anees Bazmee marked not only his birthday but also the one-year anniversary of the hit film “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.” In an exclusive interview, he reflected on the film’s significant impact and its enthusiastic reception among audiences. “Coincidentally today is my birthday. So Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 was released last year on my birthday not by design but coincidentally. One year later, the film continues to resonate with the audience. It is everyone’s favourite blueschaser,” Bazmee stated.

He praised lead actor Kartik Aaryan for his remarkable comic timing, which he believes gained widespread recognition thanks to this film. “Bachche ne kamaal ka kaam kiya. The world would have never known of his fabulous comic timing if it wasn’t for Bhool Bhulaiyaa,” Bazmee remarked, revealing his intention to collaborate with Aaryan on future comedy projects, including the eagerly anticipated “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4.”

Regarding the upcoming sequel, Bazmee confirmed, “Most definitely. It is work in progress. The love that the series has accrued over the years is unsurpassable.” He assured fans that Aaryan will return for this project, while also hinting at the introduction of a new actress to the beloved series, aiming to bring new energy to the franchise.

Reflecting on “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” Bazmee expressed his gratitude for the chance to work with icons Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan. He shared, “The two legends together, they never let me feel I was working with legends. They were punctual, disciplined, competitive and yet collaborative. Bohat mazaa aaya.”

As a filmmaker, his aspiration remains clear: “To keep entertaining the audience. To make people laugh during these times of stress is the biggest blessing I can think of.”

The successful anniversary celebration of “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” highlights not only the film’s box office triumph, having surpassed Rs. 100 crores within its opening weekend, but also the thriving potential of the horror-comedy genre in contemporary cinema. The film’s positive reception underscores both Aaryan’s rising star power and Bazmee’s distinctive storytelling style, signaling a bright future for Bollywood’s evolving cinematic landscape.
