SALT LAKE CITY — Authorities reported a non-family abduction that took place in Ogden on Wednesday around 5 p.m., prompting an Amber Alert for 13-year-old Jessika Francisco.
The alert indicates that Jessika was taken by Christopher Thomas Wiggins. At the time of her abduction, she was reportedly wearing Dr. Pepper pajama pants, a white hoodie, and pink slippers. Jessika is described as having blonde or strawberry hair and blue eyes, standing 4 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 90 pounds.
Wiggins is believed to have driven away in a white Hyundai Sonata with the Utah license plate A999FH. Law enforcement officials are concerned for Jessika’s safety, suggesting that she may be in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death.
Notably, Wiggins has a criminal history as a convicted sex offender, having been found guilty of two counts of sex with a minor in 2011. Authorities believe he may be armed with a handgun. He is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds, with blonde or strawberry hair that has been dyed purple, as well as brown eyes. At the time of the abduction, he was last seen wearing black pants, a black shirt, and a black Big-O Tire jacket.
