International footballer Alemoh Moses Alfred has shared his reflections on his time in Fiji, describing it as a rewarding experience following his participation in the Dayal’s Sawmillers National Club Championship 2025. The Nigerian striker represented 4R FC, which finished as runners-up after suffering a 3–0 defeat to Northpole FC in the eagerly awaited final at the Fiji FA Academy Ground.

Despite the disappointment of the loss, Alfred spoke highly of the tournament, stating that the final was both challenging and enjoyable. He acknowledged Northpole FC for their impressive performance, concluding that their victory was well-deserved.

In his reflections on the match, Alfred emphasized that football often hinges on small details. He noted that while 4R FC gave their all, the result did not favor them this time. Nevertheless, he expressed a sense of optimism, stating that the experience has inspired him to come back stronger next season with aspirations of clinching the championship title.

Playing outside his home country, Alfred appreciated the chance to compete in Fiji. He praised his teammates, coaching staff, and management for their unwavering support during the competition. He also commended the competitive nature of football in Fiji, suggesting that the level of play is quite high when compared to Nigeria. Alfred expressed his enthusiasm for seizing more opportunities to play in Fiji, highlighting the potential of showcasing African football talent on the island.

In terms of accolades, Northpole FC took home $4,000 in prize money for their championship win, while 4R FC received $1,500 for their second-place finish. This event not only celebrated football but also bridged cultural connections and showcased the competitive spirit prevalent in Fijian football.
