AirAsia X (AAX) Berhad has announced an exciting new route set to launch this summer, connecting Kuala Lumpur to Bahrain and onward to London Gatwick. This new service positions Bahrain as a key hub for travelers looking to connect Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Australia.
The inaugural flights will commence on June 26, with daily operations planned to ensure convenient travel for passengers. Bo Lingam, Group CEO of AirAsia X, emphasized the significance of this new route, stating, “This milestone reflects the broader transformation of AAX into a truly globally connected airline.”
Lingam noted that AirAsia X has successfully navigated through one of the most challenging periods in aviation history, emerging from the pandemic stronger and more focused than ever. The airline is committed to rebuilding with precision, supported by a robust order book of 374 aircraft and a comprehensive five-year growth strategy aimed at expanding its presence in key regions.
The inclusion of Bahrain in AirAsia X’s network is a strategic move that aligns with the airline’s long-term blueprint to connect ASEAN and Asia with the rest of the world. This development not only enhances the travel options for passengers but also signifies a positive trend in the aviation sector as the industry continues its recovery.
