Air Force One and several associated aircraft are poised to receive a significant makeover, featuring a new paint scheme in colors favored by former President Trump—red, white, gold, and dark blue. This update has been confirmed by sources at NewsNation, which is affiliated with The Hill.
The luxury jet previously donated by Qatar, along with new VC-25B Boeing jets, will sport the updated design, as stated by an Air Force spokesperson. The term Air Force One is reserved for any aircraft carrying the president, while Air Force Two refers to the smaller C-32 jets used by the vice president, which are also set to be rebranded with the new colors. These C-32 jets are utilized by the first lady and Cabinet members when they undertake official travel.
Currently, all Air Force One and Air Force Two aircraft adhere to a blue and white color scheme that has remained unchanged since it was introduced during the Kennedy administration. Notably, the first of the C-32 jets has already been repainted and is anticipated to be delivered to the Air Force in the coming months.
The upgrade project is being managed by contractor L3Harris at its facility in Greenville, Texas. As a part of this initiative, several improvements are being made to the Air Force Two planes.
While the White House has yet to respond to requests for comments regarding the paint job, this transformation marks an interesting evolution in the visual identity of the presidential aircraft, showcasing a departure from the traditional look that has been in place for decades.
