ADOR has provided a crucial update on the status of NewJeans members’ contracts. On December 29, the agency announced that Danielle, one of the group’s members, has had her exclusive contract terminated, while Hanni will continue her activities with ADOR.

This development follows a significant court ruling on October 30, which upheld the validity of the exclusive contracts in a lawsuit filed by ADOR. As part of the ongoing discussions regarding the future of the group, ADOR previously revealed that Haerin and Hyein expressed their desire to continue their journey with the agency.

In their official statement, ADOR detailed the discussions held with Minji, Hanni, Danielle, and their families following the court’s decision. Hanni recently visited South Korea with her family for extensive discussions with ADOR, during which they addressed past events to gain a clearer understanding of the situation. As a result of these talks, Hanni has chosen to respect the court’s ruling and continue her work with the agency.

Negotiations with Minji are still in progress, aimed at fostering mutual understanding. However, in Danielle’s case, ADOR concluded that collaboration would be challenging moving forward, leading to the termination of her contract. Furthermore, the agency intends to seek legal accountability from a member of Danielle’s family and former CEO Min Hee Jin, who they hold responsible for instigating the dispute and contributing to the group’s tension and delays.

Throughout these discussions, ADOR became aware that the members had been influenced by false and biased information over time. This realization prompted both the agency and the artists to agree that dispelling these misunderstandings is essential to rebuilding their relationship with fans and the public. They emphasize their commitment to addressing the controversies that have arisen during this period, while also discussing how and when to do so.

In a hopeful outlook, ADOR has expressed its dedication to resolving these issues amicably and is eager to ensure NewJeans can make a timely return to their fans. The agency’s proactive approach signals their commitment to transparency and restoring the group’s unity amidst these challenges.
