A24 is keeping tight-lipped about its upcoming film “The Drama,” which features Zendaya and Robert Pattinson as a seemingly perfect couple whose relationship faces an unexpected crisis. The film centers on characters Emma and Charlie, who are happily engaged until a gathering with friends takes a dramatic turn.

In the newly released trailer, the couple shares an intimate evening with friends, played by Alana Haim and Mamoudou Athie. During the dinner, a playful suggestion leads to a game of confessions. The tension escalates when Emma is prompted to reveal her darkest secret, igniting shocked reactions from everyone at the table. While the details of her confession remain under wraps, its impact is palpable; Emma and Charlie’s relationship begins to unravel days before their wedding, culminating in an intense confrontation.

Zendaya’s character, Emma, implores Charlie to stop ruminating over the confession, while Pattinson’s character, Charlie, reflects on the complexities of true love in a voiceover. “True love is complicated,” he says. “It’s about acceptance. Radical acceptance.” The question linger: can Charlie truly embrace that advice?

This film marks the first of three projects that Pattinson and Zendaya will collaborate on this year. The pair will also appear in Christopher Nolan’s much-anticipated adaptation of the Greek epic “The Odyssey,” scheduled for release in July. Furthermore, Zendaya will reprise her role in “Dune: Part Three,” set to hit theaters in December, where Pattinson will also join the cast in a yet-to-be-revealed role.

“The Drama” is set to hit theaters on April 3, teasing viewers with its mix of relationship dynamics and suspense. The film promises to explore the challenging facets of love and commitment, inviting audiences into a compelling narrative of trust and acceptance.
