Dutch speedskating champion and model Jutta Leerdam, who is engaged to influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul, grabbed attention with her striking attire during Paul’s fight against Mike Tyson in November 2024. However, as Paul prepares for his highly-anticipated Netflix fight against Anthony Joshua this Friday night, Leerdam will not be in attendance, and she has shared the reason why.

Leerdam, who got engaged to Paul in March with a dazzling ring, has been a consistent source of support for him, cheering him on during his fights. For his last bout against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., she showcased her unwavering support, albeit from a distance. Paul has also reciprocated this support, attending Leerdam’s races whenever possible.

Ahead of the big fight in Miami, fans were eager to see what Leerdam would wear ringside. However, she took to TikTok to explain her absence. In her post, she stated, “Just a girl watching her man work relentlessly. Yes, he plays the villain, but that’s what creates opportunities for everyone including so many powerful women. Some people should look in the mirror and ask themselves why it triggers them so much. Let’s support each other, and success will come to you 🥰🥰.” She added that she wished to be there but prioritized her Olympic qualifications taking place that week.

Leerdam’s commitment to her training reflects her dedication as both an athlete and a champion, setting a positive example of balancing personal and professional goals. As Paul faces Joshua, he enters the ring with a record of 12 wins and 1 loss, accompanied by the challenge of fighting a taller and more experienced opponent. Joshua stands at 6-foot-6 and has a record of 28-4. The matchup promises to be a thrilling event, capturing the attention of boxing fans around the globe while emphasizing the strong support systems that athletes often rely on, illustrated by Leerdam’s unwavering encouragement.
