London: The popular sandbox game Minecraft has launched a new add-on pack titled “Lessons in Good Trouble,” which allows players to engage with block-style representations of pivotal civil rights leaders, such as Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Malala Yousafzai.

This new downloadable content invites players to immerse themselves in interactive scenarios that reflect significant historical civil rights movements. Players can ally with Nelson Mandela in his fight against apartheid in South Africa, support Malala Yousafzai’s advocacy for girls’ education, and march alongside Mahatma Gandhi during India’s struggle for independence.

The add-on expands its focus to include iconic figures like Rosa Parks and John Lewis, enabling players to explore key events in the ongoing battle for equality and justice around the globe.

Mojang, the game’s developer, designed this pack as an educational tool, providing children and young players a unique and engaging way to learn about civil rights movements from various cultures and time periods. Excitingly, the Lessons in Good Trouble add-on is available for free to all players of Minecraft, promoting both awareness and action in the pursuit of equality. This initiative not only enhances the gaming experience but also empowers the younger generation to understand and advocate for social justice in their communities.
