The Government is dedicated to addressing gaps within the national health system, as articulated by Health Minister Dr. Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu. During a recent event marking the commissioning of a new pharmacy facility alongside a refurbished medical boat in the Western Division, Dr. Lalabalavu emphasized the initiatives are part of a larger strategy focusing on resilience and adaptability in healthcare.

He noted the critical role of logistics and infrastructure in ensuring that healthcare services are delivered effectively and with dignity. “We will continue to identify gaps and respond proactively, investing strategically to strengthen our infrastructure, logistics, and services in the West,” he stated.

Dr. Lalabalavu reassured the public that the Government is committed to meeting their healthcare needs through targeted investments. He highlighted that the new pharmacy and the upgraded medical boat exemplify a vision of resilience and an adaptable health system that prioritizes dignity and efficiency for all patients.

This dual investment not only enhances access to essential healthcare but also strengthens the overall healthcare framework within the region, reflecting a proactive approach by the Government amidst ongoing challenges in the health sector.
