Vernon Davis has publicly responded to recent allegations made against him concerning incidents of abuse last year. The former NFL star and Super Bowl champion took to social media after a TMZ Sports article brought the accusations to light, expressing his sadness regarding the situation but emphasizing his desire to clear his name.
In his message, Davis stated, “For now, I’m staying focused on my life, my work, and the amazing people and partners who believe in and continue to support me.” He also conveyed his gratitude for the support he has received, signing off as “Your favorite person, Vernon.”
The accusations against Davis involve a woman who alleges he was physically abusive on three occasions during May and June of 2025. One incident reportedly involved Davis throwing books and magazines at her during a disagreement over an abortion. The woman claims that he offered her $10,000 during the confrontation and ceased his actions only when she attempted to record him. Additionally, she alleged that he left her bruised on two separate occasions, including one incident where she claims he slapped her in the face.
As this situation unfolds, Davis’s focus remains on the positive aspects of his life and the support from his community, showcasing his resilience in facing challenges.
