Two individuals have been formally charged in relation to the heartbreaking death of Police Constable 8012 Peniasi Racagi. The charges, which include murder, have been brought against a 42-year-old and a 20-year-old man, both identified as residents of Qauia in Lami.

These charges arise from an incident believed to have occurred between February 21 and 22, 2026. During this event, the accused, alongside a third individual, allegedly played a role in actions that resulted in injuries to Constable Racagi, ultimately leading to his untimely passing.

Both men are currently in police custody and are scheduled to appear in the Suva Magistrates Court tomorrow. This case underscores the continual pursuit of justice for Constable Racagi, as well as the commitment of the legal system to confront severe crimes.
