Toheeb Jimoh, who portrays Sam Obisanya in the acclaimed series “Ted Lasso,” has expressed his desire for a more competitive spirit in the upcoming fourth season. As the show’s return draws closer, Jimoh is eager to see coach Ted Lasso, played by Jason Sudeikis, prioritize victory over the show’s typical emphasis on sportsmanship.

“I want Ted to actually win something. He’s like, ‘It’s not about the wins and losses.’ I’m like, ‘Win. Win a trophy, bro. Win a trophy,” Jimoh shared in a recent interview. He believes that a shift in Ted’s perspective toward a more competitive mindset could pave the way for future storylines. “Great, we’ll get like three more seasons. I’m down for that. Let’s have a revenge arc for Ted Lasso,” he added enthusiastically.

While the anticipation for the fourth season builds, Jimoh remains uncertain about his own character’s fate. He admitted, “I know nothing about it at all,” highlighting his excitement to learn more alongside the audience. Current confirmations for the cast include Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent), Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), Juno Temple (Keeley Jones), Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins), and Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard).

Fans can continue to enjoy the heartwarming series as “Ted Lasso” is currently available for streaming on Apple TV+. With Jimoh’s hopes for a more competitive season, there is a renewed sense of excitement surrounding the show, promising engaging storylines and character development ahead.
