Jason Sudeikis is set to make his highly anticipated return in the fourth season of “Ted Lasso,” with Apple TV announcing a global premiere for this summer. Fans can expect new stills and plot details for the beloved show, which is currently in production.

In this upcoming season, Sudeikis will reprise his role and continue his involvement as an executive producer. He will be joined by a talented cast including Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Emmy winner Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift. The show also welcomes new additions to the cast such as Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.

Season four will see Ted Lasso tackle a formidable challenge as he takes on the role of coach for a second division women’s football team. The season’s synopsis hints at themes of growth and risk as Ted and his team learn to take chances, saying: “Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”

Adding to the excitement, Emmy winner Jack Burditt is joining as an executive producer through a new deal with Apple TV. The production team is a powerhouse, with Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt sharing executive production duties alongside Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel. Goldstein will serve as a writer and executive producer, supported by Leanne Bowen, while Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh will contribute as writers and producers.

The series continues to be a collaborative effort, with Bill Lawrence executive producing via his Doozer Productions in partnership with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television. The creative foundation is built on the existing format and characters developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Kelly, and Hunt, originating from NBC Sports.

“Ted Lasso” made an impressive debut on Apple TV, breaking records and earning the title of the most Emmy-nominated comedy series in its first season. The show has since secured back-to-back outstanding comedy series Emmys for its first two seasons, underscoring its impact and popularity.
