Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has revealed that he maintained regular communication with Mohamed Salah during the Africa Cup of Nations. Szoboszlai mentioned that the two exchanged messages “almost every day” while Salah was away representing Egypt. However, he refrained from commenting on Salah’s future at the club, emphasizing that any decisions regarding it should be made by the player, the manager, and the club.

Salah is set to rejoin Liverpool’s squad for their Champions League matchup against Marseille, following his campaign in the Africa Cup of Nations. Rumors have circulated concerning the 33-year-old’s standing at the club, particularly after suggestions of a rift with manager Arne Slot. Yet, Szoboszlai expressed optimism, stating, “He will come back and then we keep on going,” indicating a positive outlook as the team prepares to move forward.

The upcoming match will mark Salah’s return after he last played for Liverpool in their 2-0 Premier League victory over Brighton in December. His presence is anticipated to bolster the squad as they aim to perform well in the Champions League. As the situation develops, fans and teammates alike remain hopeful for a strong second half of the season with Salah back in the fold.
