A recent New Year holiday in Suva has brought significant relief to Makereta Dredregasa, a mother of four from Beqa, through the Government’s $200 Back-to-School assistance payout. This financial support has enabled Dredregasa to acquire essential school supplies for her children as they prepare to embark on a new academic year.
Dredregasa expressed her deep gratitude for the assistance, noting how it alleviated the financial strain that her family often experiences during this critical transition. With three of her children gearing up to return to school, the funds have made a considerable impact, allowing her to purchase vital stationery and other necessary items.
To ensure that all eligible families can benefit from this initiative, the Ministry is urging parents and guardians who have yet to receive their payments to contact the Help Desk at 3220551, 3314477, or 9980079.
This program highlights the government’s dedication to supporting families and reducing the financial burden associated with back-to-school preparations, fostering a hopeful outlook as the new academic year begins.
